Η έκθεση παρουσιάζει το έργο 45 συνολικά απόφοιτων που εισήχθησαν στο Τμήμα το 2006. Το 2006 υπήρξε το έτος έναρξης της λειτουργίας του Τμήματος Εικαστικών και Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών, που είναι ο τρίτος δημόσιος φορέας ανώτατης εικαστικής εκπαίδευσης στην χώρα μας. Με αυτό τον τρόπο αναδεικνύεται η πολυμορφία με την οποία πραγματοποιούνται οι σπουδές στο Τμήμα. Η δράση του Τμήματος ωστόσο δεν περιορίζεται στο εκπαιδευτικό έργο: το Τμήμα λειτουργεί ως ένας φορέας με έντονη πολιτιστική δραστηριότητα. Με διάφορες δράσεις αναδεικνύει μια διαρκή σχέση όσμωσης με την πόλη της Φλώρινας: εικαστικές πρωτοβουλίες, έργα σε δημόσιους χώρους, παρεμβάσεις σε σχολεία και συμμετοχή σε δρώμενα φορέων. Ταυτόχρονα το Τμήμα Εικαστικών και Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών έχει να επιδείξει μια σημαντική παρουσία στον εικαστικό και εκπαιδευτικό χώρο σε εθνικό επίπεδο, ενώ έχει ενεργοποιήσει τα πρώτα βήματα σύνδεσής του με τον διεθνή χώρο. margin-bottom: 5px; text-align: justify;"><span style="background-color: black; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: white;">Αν και στο 1<sup>ο</sup> Εργαστήρι δεν υπήρξε κάποια κεντρική παρότρυνση, οι νέοι καλλιτέχνες εργάστηκαν εντατικά στην διερεύνηση της μορφής. Της μορφής ως ανθρώπινης ύπαρξης που ζει σε ένα σήμερα που σπαράσσεται από τις αβεβαιότητες της εποχής. Φαίνεται ότι στους καιρούς που ζούμε ο στοχασμός ως προς το τι είναι και τι αντιπροσωπεύει η ανθρώπινη παρουσία καθίσταται ολοένα και πιο σημαντική, και πάντως σημαντική για όσους εργάστηκαν στο 1<sup>ο</sup> Εργαστήριο.</span></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 5px; text-align: justify;"><span style="background-color: black; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: white;">Στα έργα που παρουσιάζονται ο/η κάθε καλλιτέχνης πραγματεύεται έννοιες όπως η ελευθερία, η ανάμνηση, η αλήθεια, το τι υπάρχει κάτω από το φαίνεσθαι, τη σημασία του μύθου, της αφήγησης, τη γραφή. Έννοιες που αποκτούν ολοένα και πιο πρωταρχική σημασία και θα τους (μας) συνοδεύουν και στο μελλοντικό τους έργο. Ίσως χρειαζόμαστε ένα καινούργιο Ουμανισμό, έναν Ουμανισμό πέρα και πάνω από τις επιφάσεις που μας οδήγησαν στα τωρινά αδιέξοδα. Και ίσως τα έργα αυτά των νέων καλλιτεχνών να αποτελούν τις ελπίδες (μικρές έστω) που θα μας οδηγήσουν σε ένα δημιουργικό παραπέρα.</span></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 5px; text-align: justify;"><span style="background-color: black; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: white;">Το Τμήμα Εικαστικών και Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών Φλώρινας, αν και μετράει μόλις πέντε χρόνια ζωής, κατάφερε να έχει αξιόλογη παρουσία στα εικαστικά δρώμενα και να δημιουργήσει μια όσμωση με την τοπική κοινωνία. Είναι ένα Τμήμα, με δυναμική παρουσία στον ελληνικό εκπαιδευτικό και πολιτιστικό χώρο που επιχειρεί να αρθρώσει τον λόγο της δικής του ιδιαιτερότητας και να δημιουργήσει ένα καινούργιο πόλο καλλιτεχνικής παρουσίας στην ελληνική πραγματικότητα.</span></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 5px;
